Welcome to my movies world !

Welcome to my movies world ! Well..some of you might already have been on this page ... and its a bit strange thing to write this article after already publishing several articles by now. But it's never too late to confess that I should have done it way before this. One of my friend asked me why the heck I was wasting my time on these blogs and that made me to think and put my feelings down on this piece of my internet world.

I am a big fan of bollywood and hollywood movies. Movies show us the dreams that we hesitate to see and widens our imagination. But I always wonder... Do the stars worry about Credit cars? Do the celebrities take life insurance or home insurance or auto insurance? If yes...how much premium do they pay :) Do they worry about debt consolidations? Do they invest in shares? Do they try booking buddy or orbitz to search travel deals or vacation deals? Do they search for cheap mobile deals? Do they do all the things we do for successful future? In short do they live the life the way we live?

Do any readers know answers to it? Please post your views and comments !!

Ocean's 13 is coming !

Ocean's Series is getting bigger and better... I am looking forward for its release in 2040. Expecting to read something like .. Alibaba and Ocean's 40 !! :)

The gang is back.
The Ocean's 13 premiere, by default, has to be one of the most star-studded affairs in Hollywood, Steven Soderbergh's campy series getting some of Hollywood's biggest A-listers together to make a fun film.

And of course, Brad had to be accompanied by the stunning Angelina Jolie, looking captivating in a canary yellow dress. Brad attended Jolie's premiere of A Mighty Heart a couple of nights ago.

Matt Damon, a close part of the Clooney-Soderbergh combine, seems to be taking his on-screen role as George's underling quite seriously at the premiere. Australian pop superstar Kylie Minogue was the prettiest woman at the premiere. While Al Pacino is the latest addition to the Ocean's series cast, he's the bad guy -- not the 13th member of Danny Ocean's crew. That honour belongs to actress Ellen Barkin.

Silly Question to Viveik

I dont understand why media target the stars?? hehehehe ... actually thats why both media and stars earn :)

Viveik Oberoi, one time lover boy, seems to have turned into an angry young man. When some sections of the press, rather inanely, asked him if he’d work with the Bachchans in future, the normally well-behaved lad threw a fit, and rightfully so. “Why shouldn’t I? This is such a silly question,” he told us. Phew! Now whatever happened to simple answers to simply questions - or is that an extraordinary question?

Salman Khan's Paintings

Singing is common in most of the bollywood stars ... but Salman has developed a new skills ... Painting !! Guess what he is planning to have an exhibition of his paintings. Well I will not call it as a 'alternate source of income' :) but probably in a more 'IT Professional Language' I will call it as a 'Alternate career path' ... we do it often .. Why not salman?? :) Let's wait and see what's next !

We all know the many colours that Salman Khan is made of. Especially with his new ‘brush’ with easel, canvas and hues. But the extent to which he’s taking it is now making people wonder. Apparently, the Khan is soon planning to have an exhibition of his paintings in a city gallery. “He has taken painting lessons and is ready with about 20 paintings which he wants to exhibit in public,” says a family member. Now now, Bollywood has a new painter babu in the making. Such angst already Sallu? Tsk, tsk!

Free Movies ! Online Movies !!

I have been searching for free stuff over the web and movies are my all time fav. So Free Movies is no wonder something I like a lot. Personally speaking there is nothing for free !! Though there are several websites offering free movies or Free online movies, mostly these websites have hunderds of ads wherever they find space. I am absolutely OK if the ads are descent but that is hardly the case. Since Google Adsense or Yahoo Ads are not usually hosted on these free music/movies websites because of the Legal and copyright issues, usually these websites contain edgy or adult ads. Definately that makes you feel awkword if you are browsing this website in office or infront of your family.

Usually the free movies are available as torrent downloads. The website hosts the torrent files which when opened with a torrent download client like bittorrent, bitcommet etc then contact peoples' PC's who 'Seed' the content and download it on your machine. I am not a technical expert about it but it works well. Usually on these websites one can find a cam rip as early as next day of a release. With the DVD cams the cam rips are getting better. But if one can wait for few days, then he can find a retail version DVD rip usually about 1.4 GB in size. In hours a .divx or xvid rip is also available .. which is 700 MB in size.

Also there are 100s of website host these rips for free. The catch is they keep publishing pop-under ads on your machine :) See ??... nothing is free !!

But I would not recommend Free movies or Online movies !! Instead why not rent a DVD or buy one. Yes Probably it costs a few bucks ... but that kills piracy and if you want to see ur fav stars and movies (or star movies :) ... then we need to promote original !!!

DVD movies are cheaper these days ... and good quality. Watching movie with 5.1 dolby digital sound is not at all comparable to these free downloads. Do you think the nearby Indian Grocery Store is charging a lot for the DVD rental ?? Then its worth trying Netflix, Blockbuster or the Indi Version of these which is 'HindiFlix.com' ....!

I hope you guys felt this one helpful... leave ur comments or questions and I will try my best to answer them !!

Mp3 - Ruslan Mumtaz's Debut Film

You may not believe this, but Percept Picture Company has titled its new film MP3. Wait, MP3 isn't a musical, with 20-30 songs juxtaposed in the story, but a love story. MP3 stands for Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar.

The khaas baat about this film is that it will mark the debut of a star son. Veteran actress Anjana Mumtaz's son Ruslan, who has endorsed a number of products as a model, heads the cast of this film, which co-stars another model, Hazel, as the leading lady. The film was initially titled Mumbai To Paris.

Roby Grewal, who made his directorial debut with the Sushmita Sen starrer Samay, is directing MP3.

Wondering what MP3 is about?
The film opens up with chocolate boy Rohan (Ruslaan), the male lead of the film, catching a little more than the usual forty winks. As he wakes up just on time to scuttle away on his bicycle to school, en route his close friend Sudhir joins in.

Enter Ayesha (Hazel), a bright young fresher on her first trip to school who ends up having this bizarre first time experience with Rohan, while the latter is bunking class uses her as a shield to protect himself from the seething school principle.

The meet ups thereafter are full of drama as they realize that their mothers are school pals. After all the wisecracks and leg pulling at each others expense, the two fall in love.

The crux of the story is to be determined when an upset Ayesha moves to France with her aunt after a tussle over Rohan’s ego and sleep patterns.

How does Rohan react to the situation and would he be able to meet his Lady Love ever again? Would umpteen hurdles and the far thrown distance from the Eiffel Tower cement an end to their relationship?

He’s not even a film old, and Ruslan Mumtaz is all ready with his second film. The youngster, who will debut in Mera Pehla Pehla Pyar (MP3), has been snapped up by Satish Kaushik for his next film titled Tere Sang. “Things have changed drastically in my life. I used to go to the gym, meet friends, just chill out, but now suddenly I don’t have time for myself. Soon after MP3, I get into the promotion of Tere Sang - I don’t even have time to go to the gym!” Well, being snapped up by well known filmmakers like Satish Kaushik does seem to have its disadvantages - but we’re sure Ruslaan isn’t complaining!

Shahrukh and Brian Lara on Silver Screen

Who would know that Brian Lara is going to act in a bollywood movie with none other than Shahrukh !! The best part is getting paid for it :) Here is what I got while surfing.

Former West Indies cricket captain Brian Lara and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan are likely to team up for special appearances in a $2 million movie titled "Dulha Mil Gaya" which has commenced shooting here.

Former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen and Fardeen Khan are already in the twin-island nation of Trinidad and Tobago for the next three weeks for the film.

"Dulha Mil Gaya" is being produced by Anuj Saxena's Maverick Productions and Vivek Vaswani's Insight Productions and is written and directed by Mudassar Aziz.

Shah Rukh's office has confirmed that he is doing a special appearance in the film.

As for Lara, a spokesman for the production said: "The film is a romantic comedy and the producers are currently negotiating with Brian Lara for a special guest appearance."

The original idea was to film the movie and have it premiered in time for World Cricket Cup, which has just concluded in the nine Caribbean islands. Filming has been done at the Gulf City lowland Malls and Pigeon Point in Tobago. Several scenes in Trinidad are on the agenda for filming.

Meanwhile, it has been announced that Lara will serve as Trinidad and Tobago's sports ambassador, pending a new high-profile position.

Roger Boynes, minister of sports and youth affairs, told a media conference that the Trinidad and Tobago cabinet, in recognition of Lara's contribution to this country and the international scene, had deliberated on it.

"And within a short period of time an announcement will be made on what the cabinet decided," he said.

"Needless to say, we will be hosting a commemorative function and there are other aspects also," Boynes said.

There is wide speculation that Prime Minister Patrick Manning might offer Lara a senior political post. Or, he might be made minister of sports to replace the incumbent.

What Ash & Abhi doing on their Honeymoon?

Wondering what Abhi and Ash are doing on their honeymoon? Well ... well... I know everyone is excited to know about it. I came across a news on indiatimes and thought of sharing with all of you. I love Indiatimes and Rediff. They are my fav sites for movies, masti and magic !! :)

Actors Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan who tied the knot recently are on their honeymoon. And seem to be having a time of their lives.

It must have been quite a high when Russian billionaire and Chelsea football club owner Roman Abramovich laid out the red carpet for the newlyweds.

A source said, “Roman gave Aishwarya and her husband Abhishek Bachchan full use of his own box while he was out of the country, and really pulled out the stops,” the Daily Mail quoted him, as saying.

“He put on lots of Indian food, followed by a cheese course, and organised for them to receive a sterling silver pen and signed football shirt,” the source added.

Now that’s some honeymoon for sure. We know that Abhishek is fond of football, but his better half? Well, she must’ve enjoyed the time spent with him in that special box. So while he watched the game, she probably giggled and watched him. Cho chweet!

Here’s to the handsome couple!

Aryan Vaidya - Just missed

It’s difficult to understand how actors still agree to do dangerous stunts considering the danger to life and limb. Guess it’s their passion for acting that convinces them more often than not. As in the case of Aryan Vaid. The actor had such a scene in the forthcoming Apne – he was supposed to run along a speeding train as part of his training workshop for his negative character of a boxer. While running with the train Aryan had to look straight into camera, which was mounted on a jeep and moving in the opposite direction. "Naturally I was not able to look sideways at the train to maintain the distance. I misjudged my direction and must have slowly moved closer to the train,” relates the actor, “Since everybody was focused on the scene, no one saw the danger. Suddenly my shoulder hit the train and I was thrown off. I fell hard but luckily my injuries were not very bad. I got away with minor scratches and a bit of shock." Incidentally, Aryan went back to conclude the shot almost immediately!

I hope everyone whom he love and who love him got this news!! now you know who I mean :)

Quick Bites on Simran's Comeback !

Simran's life is the stuff that could inspire film scripts.
Her overnight success from a performance in a college function to an anchor of 'Superhit Muqabla' and then to feature in a big launch like the ABCL venture, Tere Mere Sapne reads like a fairy tale.

She even became a sensation down south with a number of whopping hits to her credit in Tamil and Telugu. But at the height of her career she chucked it all off for motherhood. Now, she's back with some fabulous offers coming her way. Vijay caught up with the actress on location of Vinoo Anand's Malayalam film, Heartbeats in Kochi for an exclusive interview. Excerpts:

What is your role in Heartbeats like?
I am playing the central character in the film, who is strong and not of the bubbly kind. She is a mystery woman whose identity is nothing short of an enigma.

What is the difference in the industry now from the time of your South Indian debut (Malayalam film Indraprastham) a decade ago?
I think Malayalam cinema is more open to experiments now. Filmmaking here has become more stylish and technically more sound. For me, it was a break that I took following my marriage and then, motherhood. I am really happy that my comeback is in Malayalam.

What about the days of the ABCL launch?

It was after my performance in a school drama that I was selected to anchor the film song based programme 'Superhit Muqabla' for Doordarshan. Things happened beyond my wildest imaginations and frankly, I never knew then that it would take me so far.

When did you know that you wanted to be an actor?
It all happened by chance. In fact, I dreamed of becoming a fashion designer. I also loved acting and dancing. I have learnt dancing for a while during my younger days and I believe that has brought in a rhythm to my body movements.

Your decision to try your luck in south Indian films soon after being accepted in Hindi was a surprise.

I believe in doing the right thing at the right time. When I was offered the Malayalam film, I did not hesitate, especially since the projects was associated with big names like Mammootty. I wanted to do good work and did not find it necessary to wait for Hindi offers to happen. I am thrilled about the kind of recognition that I got in the south.

Which of your films are the ones you rate as really special?

I have acted in around fifty films and most of them were big hits, which makes my task to pick my favourites really tough. There are lots of Tamil and Telugu films, which brought me recognition and success and every one of them is special in their own way. The ones that come to my mind are Vaali, Kannathil Muthamiittal, Thullatha Manamum Thullum, Parthen Rasithen, Pammal K Sambandham and Kalisundam Raa in Telugu.

Off the camera, what is the real Simran like?
(Laughs) I am not a serious kind of person. I am more of a listener than a talker. Basically, I am a quiet person.

What interests you other than films?

Cooking, for one. I am good in cooking continental, Chinese or Indian dishes. What I need to improve on is cooking idlis and I am trying to work on that.

Any big plans in the future?

I don't consider being away for long from films. I am eager to do nice and meaningful roles and continue with what I was doing. I am listening to lots of scripts and have already begun shooting for Okka Magudu in Telugu, which has Balakrishna as the hero.

Hrithik in Jodha Akbar

He’s been a super-hero, alright, and no one dare deny his heroic powers, but the Roshan boy can’t carry on the weight of this super-status anymore. For his screen role, at least. Hrithik has to wear extremely heavy armor to look convincing as emperor in Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Jodha Akba. If carrying all that weight on his shoulders all day long wasn’t enough, the actor wakes up at 5am every morning, and drives for two and half hours to reach the location at Karjat in time. And all the way back, beating the Mumbai traffic. But the man still takes time out to exercise, spend dinner time with family and then sleep as early as he can to repeat the routine. Of course, his erstwhile 'Jodha', Aishwarya’s extended honeymoon and Cannes visit did throw the dates into a mini mess, but it didn't deter Hrithik from shooting and perfecting his parts. That's what makes him a true blue superstar and superhero, no?

Highest Paid Bahu of India

Ekta Kapoor's feud with Smriti Irani has apparently gained momentum. The latest buzz is that Smriti left Balaji Telefilms because she wanted a hike in her salary.
A Mumbai tabloid reported that Smriti demanded Rs 300,000 per day, three times the amount she reportedly gets.

We decided to take a look at the highest-paid television actors today, and Smriti -- even with her present pay -- topped the list.

Here are the top five earners:

Name: Smriti Irani
Claim to Fame: Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi
Character: Tulsi Virani
Her fee, industry talk has it, is Rs 100,000 per day

'The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.' It's this adage that Smriti Zubin Irani, also known as Tulsi Mihir Virani, has lived her life by. Actress, producer and politician, this former Miss India contestant has come a long way.

During her struggling years, Smriti worked at McDonalds, served burgers, appeared for countless auditions and even cleaned floors. That's what you call a rags to riches story.

Sameera Reddy finds her man !

Check out this news on Indiatimes which says Sameera Reddy has found her soulmate & both of them are having a steady affair.

Having said that...I want to ask just one question ! After Ash-Abhishek high profile hyped wedding... does anyone really care who Sameera is seeing?

:)

Check this story !!

Yes, folks, Sameera's single status is now a thing of the past, if sources are to be believed.

The actress has been often spotted in the company of a Mumbai based industrialist in the last few months, and the two seem to be going steady, says our informant. In fact things may be a little more serious than that.
Both of them seem to be quite serious about the relationship," says a source close to the actress.

"They've been seeing each other for the last few months, and enjoy each other's company a lot.

They're of the same age and they have similar interests, and things just clicked."

Now before rumour mongers go around claiming that the two are tying the knot already, let us clarify that any such thought is definitely far from Sam and her beau's mind right now. According to a close friend of the actress, with Sameera's career going great guns, she's rather concentrate on her work right now and think of settling down when the time is right. For now, let's wish the two lots of lovely moments together, shall we?

Hitch - A must See

Hello Guys !

Yes ... Probably I am the last one to see it... but recently I saw 'Hitch' and believe me its a must see !!

Will Smith at his best ... Comedy !! The movie has everything that a movie needs. Will Smith plays a 'Date Doctor' in this movie and is hired by people to get them the love of their life in 3 dates. While coaching Albert, a meek accountant who is smitten with a glamorous celebrity, Allegra Cole, Hitch finally meets his match in the person of the gorgeous, whip-smart Sara Melas (Eva Mendes) , a gossip columnist who follows Allegra’s every move. The ultimate professional bachelor, Hitch suddenly finds himself falling deliriously in love with Sarah, a reporter whose biggest scoop could very well be the unmasking of Manhattan’s most famous date doctor.
Eva as Sara looks stunning in this movie and scenes where Hitch wins over others to get a date with Sara are adorable !!
While writting this blog, I referred yahoo! movies and see the critics have rated this movie C+ .
But then who cares :) This movie is a total entertainer and a must see.
Bollyfan recommands this movie :) !!

Is Tara Rum Pum = Ricky Bobby?

I saw both .. and dont think they are same. Yes but there is a flavor of "Talladega nights" to 'Tara Rum Pum" !!

TRP is more customized for Indian audience with all the drama and emotions packed in. The race scenes dont look real in TRP. Though there seems some shooting actually on the race track but most of the movie doesn't give u that feel.

The Fear factor in Ricky bobby about the speed is the theme of 'Talladega' and its handled very well. There is also a character of a french comeptitor to Ricky, a close friend of Ricky bobby & Ricky's kids.

Nevermind .. I appreciate efforts of Aditya Chopra to actually bring the Race Track on Indian silver screens and bring a technically smart movie !!

Especially the animated song with Disney characters .. . I loved it.

Will Ramu ban mobiles on set?

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma was pretty shocked when the song, Mehbooba, from his film Sholay was leaked and circulated on the internet. Urmila Matondkar was Ramu’s Mehbooba girl, and her pictures doing the Mehbooba dance are no longer a clandestine affair. Ramu is convinced that someone was clicking those with their mobile cameras while on set, because Varma had decided not to use this song for the promo of his film. That way it’s impossible for anyone but a unit member to have done the dubious deed, he believes. One wonders if Ramu will even allow cell phones on the sets from now on. He’s so switched off!

Life in a... Metro’, UTV Motion Pictures’ much-awaited film premiered yesterday in the Theatreland of London -Leicester Square. This busy quarter of metropolitan London is widely acclaimed for its big screens, classy theatres, royal premières and a showbiz legacy that goes back to the early years of the past century.

This is Shilpa Shetty’s first film post her Big Brother reality show win, and her producer has decided to take advantage of the added interest in the actress’ career in the UK. Present at the red carpet gala premiere were Shilpa Shetty, with mother Sunanda and sister Shamita, director Anurag Basu, producer Ronnie Screwvala, Keith Vaz, Labour MP, Preeya Kalidas of‘Bombay Dreams’ fame amongst others.

'Metro’ released in world cinemas on May 11th. The film will have premieres in world metros like Dubai and Mumbai besides the ones held in London, Sydney, and Melbourne. Another novel and first for an Indian film is that ‘Metro’ would run for the length of 2.09 hours and it is going to be screened without intermission in theaters across the world (except for India). This is to cater to the audience abroad which is used to western movies running without an intermission.

Basu draws incidents from the lives of three couples that dwell in the city. ‘Metro’ is an intertwined story of the emotional journeys of these six characters who live in modern metropolitan cities; they are portrayed on screen by a talented star ensemble cast comprising of Shilpa Shetty, Shiney Ahuja, Kay Kay Menon, Konkana Sen Sharma, Sharman Joshi, Kangna Ranaut and Irrfan Khan.
